Yep. Even if I edited it for you and posted it here, you wouldn't be able to use it anyway.

Which issue is that? Mine worked fine with the original OS that the 8300 came with.

Ur absolutelly right....but i have acess to an HP laptop for a very short time and in that time im only able to sit down behind it. Load the new os into the desktop manager. replace files. And Begin udating. I then come back about two hours or so later and my curve is good and ready.
But, john clark put up a great blackberry theme unlocking FAQ so, and if it really does take 15 secs like some of u guys claim, then im gonna give it a shot.
Thanx for the FAQ.

I've learned to edit the .alx's, so maybe next time I should post them, just to return the favor to those who have done it for me previously.
I installed the new OS on my wife's Curve last night (I am her 'sysadmin'; she says she's too busy to keep track of maintenance, so I keep her BB up to date) and haven't heard any complaints all day, so i guess she's happy with it.

Amazing find, vinmont! I feel like I got owned, I've been kind of unavailable for the past week, otherwise I probably would've posted this. =P lol. Good show, my friend.

Thanks! Not owned - think of it as outside help while you were otherwise occupied . I was hoping to find clues as to the whereabouts of 4.3, and was digging through RIM's site in a fit of impatience. SingTel was a lucky find. I'm happy with it though -even as a minor release, since it does seem to improve responsiveness of the UI. Always fun to play web detective...

Hehe, indeed. Sorry that I seem to be hogging all o' those OS update threads, I just check all of the sites every day or two to see if there's anything new or interesting to report.

Why rely on others to edit your .alx (especially from over there-ouch!) when you can do it yourself in minutes:

Wibbly - I only saw this once when the new OS install was finishing. I did NOT see any duplicate messages, either on my Curve or on my PC -- no problems at all. Also: I haven't seen that message since, despite plugging into the PC and syncing a few times since then. The issue seems to have disappeared for me, whatever it was.

Yes, that's the problem I'm talking about. Very annoying as I have to disconnect bluetooth or reset my device every time.
