Do you know how to solder? If you are not VERY good at soldering, I do not recommend doing this yourself. HorizonWirelessOnline.com - Horizon Wireless, The World’s Cellular Repair Center ß also has them, and if you would like they can fix it for you. They are very reputable, and have always given me great service.

Definitely the way to go. If ya wanna do it yourself they can get part heck they may even tell you how to do it as well. Though might be cheaper to send to them, if you don't already have the necessary equipment to replace the port with

Done this twice on my 8100. Orderd the part from ebay (5 USD) and took me an hour, to dissasemble and install. But then I have been soldering since I was eleven

Hi Danedel:

Did you have any problem connecting usb to computer after you repaired the usb? My usb port was toasted and had it repaired. But now when I connect to the computer, it doesn't recognize it. What do you think the problem is?
