I know this is gonna sound dumb, but I need to know so let me just put it out there. My friend and I both have curve, but she has 8320 TMO titanium and I have 8310 ATT red... Can we trade phones just by swapping SIM cards? Will this work??

Also, if I want totally wipe my device before I hand it over, how do I do it? (Other than manually removing everything!)

You will both have to unlock your devices. Once the devices are unlocked, then what you want to do will work.

To remove all data from your device, you would do the following:

Go to Options > Security Options > General Settings > Menu Key > Wipe Handheld.

You may want to Back-up your device first before wiping it clean . . . then Restore data back to the swapped device. . . .

BTW, you can also get unlock codes respectively from T-Mobile and AT&T for free, usually within 24 hours of request.

After you have done the swap, Restore your data. . . make sure each one logs-in to your respective BIS accounts, confirm device PIN and IMEI registration and Resend Service Books.

One of you will have to have your BIS account deleted. You can't transfer BIS to a BB that already has a BIS account associated with it.

Yes they can if both are GSM phones, is simple, just pay attention to the instruction given by crisambo or check this link...
