Default BB Curve 8330 (CDMA Bell Mobility) - Media Player Issue

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

I have been having this issue with my curve that just came out of no where. For some reason when I try and play certain albums from my media player it just skips through all of the songs and doesn't play them. For example, if I try and play a certain Jay-Z album it will show all of the songs, durations, etc., but when I choose one song it just skips to the next and so on until all of the songs have been skipped. This only happens with certain albums while others work perfectly fine. What could this be?!?!

Have you tried a battery pull?

The song may be corrupt. Does it play normally off your BlackBerry?

I noticed this when I created a play list, renamed a few songs the play list would skip many of the songs causing me to re-create the play list.

jsconyers: Lol, Jay-Z is one of the best man but if the BB doesn't like him I guess I have to part sides...haha. But I have tried the battery pull, soft reset, hard reset, etc. I even formatted my SD card just in case if there was an error on it and the problem still occurred.

SteveO86: The song has played before on my BB perfectly fine with no errors but now it's just choosing to be disobedient. I'm going to pop my SD card in my roomates Bold and see if it works, if so then there's a hardware issue with my BB (since I've performed a hard reset and the problem still persisted).

Definitly give it a shot I serious doubt it's a hardware issue.. If it plays some songs fine then it verifies the Media Card/Media App/Phone/Speakers work, right now the problem is only with a few songs.

I would just plug the BB into your computer turn on mass storage mode and see if the songs play from the media card.

The songs are probably in a different format. I noticed the same thing the other day when trying to transfer some songs from my PC to the BB. They ended up NOT being mp3's, but some other audio format.

Smile Loading songs on the media player

When you transfer music files from your computer to your BB, always check the "convert for optimum playability" option. It sounds as good on my BB as it does my ipod.

Good luck.
