Is it possible for me to have deleted the profiles application ? and if so, how do I get it back. I have a 8320 unit.

are you sure that the icon is missing? i might just be hidden.....from your home screen, click the menu button and select "show all". if you find it but it's grayed out, click the menu button and select "unhide"

It seems rather unlikely. Maybe the profile icon is hidden?

To see all the icons: from your home screen press the BB/menu button until you get a menu that pops up. One of the options should be "Show All." Select that one and see if your profile icon was just hidden.

I found it. It was in the ATT Mall folder which was hidden. Somehow I moved the application there.

As an alternative you can disable Dial From Home Screen and hit F to get to Profiles.
