Question HELP: Flashing Lightning Bolt

Please Login to Remove!

Hey All,

I've had my 7130e for about a month now, and currently have 2 wall chargers for it. One's the original one, the other is a travel charger I bought at the Philly airport when I had my pocket PC phone (blackberry's way better!).

Anyways .. when charging it with the original charger, the lightning bolt on the battery indicator is solid when charging.

Last night, I crashed at my friend's house, and had my travel charger with me ... I plugged it in, came back to it about 2 hours later. The 'charge bars' were still the same (2), and the battery lightning bolt was *flashing*

Has anyone else seen this happen? Is that somehow damaging to my phone in any way?

Maybe the flashing part means there was an error while charging so it never started charging. After market chargers should still work to charge your device because it uses a pretty universival mini USB plug on the phone side. I use a Belkin charger that does Blackberry and the Moto Razr and everything works fine.

No, not every mini-usb charger will work. I went through 3 of them I purchased at different places (not OEM) before I found a travel charger that worked with my 7100t. Apparently, and I think I read this somewhere on this board, some mini-usb cords do not have the "correct" wattage or something.

The bad chargers I had purchased would flask the "lightening bolt" a few seconds after first plugging it in, and then the bolt would disappear and it would not charge after any amount of time.
