Empower InstaSpell: On-device As-You-Type Universal spellcheck !

Hi,

While work on Empower mail viewer proceeds I think its time we can invite people for beta of InstaSpell. The idea is that unlike a PC, its more likely to mis-type on small keyboards of BlackBerry devices, hence InstaSpell is intended to be your friend in helping you with spellings.

I guess those on 8300 or newer devices may not need it but apart from them, we believe its going to be a useful addon for everyone else.

Please PM me your email ids and the device you own if this sounds interesting. I will let you know when we have enough testers, so please read any posts following this post before you PM.

Thanks everyone. I think we have enough people in now. That should do for the beta. So no more PMs please. We will start with the beta and once we are done, it will be here for everyone else to play with.

I got the email today - installed the beta - but cant seem to get it to download dictionary. It keeps hanging on download screen.

Also, how large is this app (total) ?

I'm having the same problem as well. I've been exchanging emails with Ani without resolution at this point.

Yep. No dictionary. Back to LexSpell until ani figures it out.

The dictionary is downloading for me but it's very slow. It's past 55% but the percent is "behind" the dictionary downloading dialog now, so I can't read it.

Yep, Server Issues. :(

The max someone downloaded was 55% ! We are fixing it up, and will let you know when its done. Please hold for the time being.

thats surprising because i just checked my list, and you are way there up InstaSpell beta ! How come the emails didn't reach you..
