Anyway I am upgrading to the 87XX on Sprint no matter what the cost
Similar story, left Sprint's 7250 for an 8700c. Happy with the device, but VERY dissatisfied with the service. My employees immediately noticed the change siting very poor voice quality on all calls from their end. If Sprint provides an 8703, or better yet and 8100, I'll be back as well.

This is interesting. The 8703 is set to be released in nov for sprint. I've seen pics and if I remember correctly, it looks like the 8700g but black.

Never heard anything about verizon, I though they would get it after sprint.

Considering who they sometimes have working at the stores this might not mean much, but one of my users was going to pick up a 7250 when he was in NYC. The rep at the store told him that they were not stocking it anymore in preparation for a new device.

Wow I still can't believe how much of a ghost this thing is, what is it now, about 2 weeks until supposable launch and no one even has any official info or pics, best kept secret here. Usually verizon will have some page for upcoming phones, but not on this one, yet.

Soemone needs to dig up some dirt on the thing! I really hope it looks like it does in the computerized pics that are on the net, cause it looks pretty sweet in all black like that!

I just noticed that no one has said anything about pricing. Does anyone have any idea how much the phone will cost, with and without a contract? I'm out of contract and on a month to month basis right now, so if I can get a deal by signing another 1 year contract then that's what I'll do.

my guess, if this thing actually exists...

499.99 w/o contract = 516 toal

399.99 w/ 2 year = 422.total

Relax - give it through the 28th or so. Remember, the picture that Essay posted above is a photoshop job - don't even have the M and N keys in the right place. I think 3 more weeks isn't too much to ask.

this from the person with a cingy 8700...
I almost threw my xv6700 out the window 2 days ago, but realized I would have nothing if I did so. So for those like me, this 8703, if it exists, is a godsend

You should be awarded a trophy.
The fact that you didn't jump ship & get an 8700 from cingular/tmo is impressive, at least that's how I feel about my situation.
I'm still w/ Verizon, didn't buy a Cingular 8700 even though I had it in my hands at a Cingular store, even went to a T-mobile and looked, but resisted.
(Nothing against Cingular/Tmo, it's just that in my work areas only Verizon/Nextel have great reception while GSM has spotty signal). I had bought a gsm phone awhile ago and many people complained that I sound "underwater" with a "wooshing sound" behind my voice. Nobody wanted to talk to me until I went to Verizon or Nxtl. Now life is good, except the fact that we don't yet have the 8700.
So, in review, feel proud that you have stuck it out w/ the xv6700, my fellow VZN user!
btw, I was a pocket pc user for many years, when ever I fired the pocket pc up I had to cross my fingers , my blood pressure would raise from worrying every time I had to retrieve info from my poctet pc, due to it's failure rate. That's why I appreciate the stability of BlackBerry!!! (understated)
