I'm new to this forum, and this is my first post.
I just wanted to say a couple of things.
One: I have a Motorola Q, and I think it's an amazing device. So I don't know whats up with all the Q bashing. The Q, and a blackberry are totally differnet devices. From support stand point I would have to say the blackberry is a better solution when it comes to pushing messages.
I feel the Q is not as nerdy as say a blackberry, and better with media (pictures, videos and stuff).
Second: The picture of the Verizon Blackberry 8703e, posted earlyer is real and thats how it looks like. I don't own a blackberry 8703e yet, but I have seen the per - production model.

Great catch! You're absolutely right. That looks fishy.

True, but the 7130e came out over a year after the 7100 series BlackBerrys were released.

I guess Verizon and RIM have decided to redesign the qwerty keyboard -- NOT!

I seem to notice, frequently on this forum, that shocking new announcements are made by some of the newest posters. The fake 8703 picture was someone's 4th post. The confirmation of seeing a pre-production unit, a 2nd post. That always makes me a bit wary. If it comes from someone with a lengthy experience on this forum, and many correct predictions (ie BoyGenius), then it's probably better information.

I'm sure we would all LOVE to see the 8703 on September 1, but there is a historical component here that says most new devices are rumored for September and delivered in November -- just in time for Christmas.

The last I heard on the Sprint side was look out for it in Oct I believe it was on the Quarterly Report By PCSIntel that said it would be available online 1st the Telesales and Stores...I hope it is soon becasue Cingular is looking beter and better to me since they HAVE the BB8700 already and I get a Corp discount with them.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry7250/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

Is there any news items for the 87xx CDMA version other than the photoshopped job?

Exactly! Here in Canada, the latest BB for CDMA Carriers is the 7130e, and I must say I'm getting used to the SureType. I actually think I'm faster using it than the smaller keys on the 8700 series I used to have with Rogers.

Nevertheless, I will be one of the first to purchase the newest 870x CDMA series when they finally do come out. No word from Telus, but some have spoken with reps from Bell... and the two are closely aligned, so looks like both will come out with one in late Fall.

I have had problems with my XV6700 where calls would freeze, or the internet stops working where you have to input your tel # and password to fix the connection, where the contacts list randomly pops up, that battery is always dead...

for those with a blackberry 7130, or any blackberry, will my PPC problems be a thing of the past with this upcoming 870x?
