My Blackberry Bold 9700 has been reduced to a constantly reseting, "JVM Error 102"-screened blob!

A few days ago, my phone began to click and cut in and out during phone calls, so I took it in to Bell Canada, where I'd bought it a few months earlier. The girl there simply opened up the back, took the battery out, and put it back in, and calls came through clear again. Go figure.

Tonight I got a call from who knows what, and the clicking and cutting in and out happened again. This time I just decided to take the battery and out and put it back in myself. When I did this, the black Blackberry starting screen came up, and before the loading bar got 4/5ths the way full it cut to this white screen that says nothing but "JVM Error 102". Then it resets itself to do it all over again ever 5 minutes or so.

Does anyone know what to do?! I looked up the error on google, and apparently there is a application for PC users to possibly fix it, but is there any for Mac users??

Any help would be amazing! I don't want to lose my contacts (yea I haven't backed them up from this new phone)

Using our SEARCH feature and "JVM error 102", I got lots of hits. Maybe you already looked at this?

Another potential fix would be to reload the OS, but that would most likely result in losing your contacts if they are not backed up.

As for the Mac vs PC, probably best to find a friend with a PC since I don't think this procedure is supported on the Mac just yet.
