Same problem here, notifications can't be opened and the 'remove from mail server' is not removing the messages off the mail server when I receive them.
The only benefit is that I can go into my email and view the updates, but I cannot open any notification on the phone.
Reinstalled 1.6 to see if it cleared it, nope, pulled battery to see, nope....someone muffed something up, started last night.

I just received a notification and was able to open it! I am hoping that wasn't just a fluke.

My BOLD did the same thing yesterday. I would receive a meesage from my FB status updates that would not open. Then all of a sudden began working. Worked fine on my iPhone though and is back to normal on my BOLD.

My husband and I have the same issue. Shows you have messages, but cannot open them. It began last night and I thought I did something wrong with my BB. Guess Not. Kinda frustrating.  |

Ironically, I just got a FB notification with NO TONE.
Went to read, clicking trackball would bring menu up, went to OPEN and it did nothing.
And is still not letting me open it.
I got a FB notification about 10 minutes before that I had no problem with.
tone, opening, everything was fine.
And a battery pull didnt fix it.

lol yeh.
I remember something simliar happening to me a while back, where it wouldn't open notifications.
I just assumed it was having an off day, left it and looked on FB itself.
Maybe it envys that I use my PC to look at FB and not the app? lol

So, some people get no tone, and cant open messages at all.
Some, like me, had notifications no problem, then had a problem.
It was fixed, and then not fixed.
Perhaps FB is doing (yet more unwanted by its users) changes which is screwing with the app.

I'm just not understanding how the notification sound isn't working. I mean, I get the red star showing a message has arrived for Facebook, but no sound. Very, very strange.
