OK - JESSEP - I am not sure what you are asking when you say "profile information footer? I perceive that to be the "username - date/time tag and posted from"? No you can not remove that.

IF what you are talking about is the location that is another story.


AKOSNITZKY - I went round and round with UT about the "location" issue. The install of UT3, some how modifies the permissions in your original Twitter account and adds your location. They swear it does not but I am absolutely positive it does and it did!

To fix this you must log on to your Twitter account via the website. Go into "Settings" scroll down to "Location" and delete the information. Scroll down and click on "Save".

I had fought with this for a while today doing everything possible to remove my GPS location to no avail. All boxes were unchecked in UT options. I went in and modified the permissions in Advanced Options on my BB...again to no avail. Finally I logged on via web and saw that my location was entered into that option. I changed that back to what it was before the install with no info in my location and it stopped posting my location.

Additionally in the UT3 options there is an option that automatically enables UT3 to "move to background on close". This is a battery and memory killer.

UT claims it does not automaatically enable that option but I know it did. Period. Make sure you uncheck that option or UT will remain runnng in the background.

updated to this new .75 version and the thing doesn't work. It will update my feed initially on starting up the program, then won't update again. Hit refresh, nothing. Have to close out and restart the program for new feeds. Since the install, my battery has taken a huge beating as well, the older version wasn't bad at all. This one eats it down really fast. Removed it for now.

No, when you view a tweet in detail by clicking on it from the home screen, at the bottom will be information such as Tweeting since, Bio, Location, Web, Followers.

New to Twitter, and Ubertwitter is my first attempt. Easy for a newb to setup. I like quick ability to post a pic or video, and on my ATT 8900 BIS, the GPS location has used triangulation or exact GPS if available without fail. Battery drain has been minimal--hell, low for all the playing I've done, and I keep it running. Gotta turn off SMS notifications from Twitter though since I'm getting those AND UT updates! Lovin' UT .78.....

Forgot to post this earlier: .78 fixed all the problems I was having in my post from about a week ago. Feeds are working good and battery issue is gone.

UberTwitter great! BUT - Can anyone tell me if you've been able to embed a video? "Send to UberTwitter" appears in my pic menu but not videos.
