Please Login to Remove!

today my phones battery started draining like crazy. there was this like loading thing that kept showing up every few seconds in the middle of my screen. i turned of my phone at like 8am tried turning it back on at like 2pm but it wouldnt! i took out the battery put it back in took out sim card...everything
now im at home frustrated as **** cuz it caused me a shitload of inconvenience ...its charging. i updated my firmware to the latest last night which supposedly fixes the draining, not for me. so now my phone is charging with a white screen and a battery with a lightning bolt on it idk wtf it means...

When you mean.

"Loading thing kept showing"

Like the little black box with the line going around in a circle over and over?

I guess it was trying to load something or you just had slight lag or something like that, because I sometimes get that as well. But that's when I just put down my BB and just do something else while it loads back.

I haven't updated my software yet, so I wouldn't know about the "fixing draining" part.

A battery with a lighting bolt, shows that it is charging. Anytime with that lighting bold in the middle of the battery on your top left (if you are using the default theme) indicates it is charging.

Also, check if you have other things running in the background, such as; Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Songs/Videos(Speaker volume might be decreased or set to headset), Games running in the background (If you are playing a game then just hit the 'Red Phone' button the game will still be running, Alarm, etc..

Just PM if you have any other questions if this doesn't help.

For me I usually charge my BB every day before I go to sleep I just leave it plugged in for the whole night.

Follow these steps.

Maximum Battery Life - BlackBerryFAQ

As T30User stated, it is most likely due to apps running in the background. I would say more 3rd party applications than native apps. Do you have FaceBook, Viigo, any weather app, or even the browser on a page the refreshes frequently?
