The messages are in no way filtered. The are send directly using the SMS functionality in the phone.

One thing I did notice is that when you read the message in your program it doesn't tell the regular inbox that it has been read so the icon and if you have the light still flashes til you open it in your regular bb inbox

1. If I wanted to stat a new conversation to John Smith, in the normal BB app i could type J S and John Smith would appear. In this app I must either type the first or last name, no initials.

2. If I received a text message from AIM, that comes from a number such as 265080, it displays that the message is from a random contacts in my address book.

3. It does not place a sent message in the default SMS app, I figured it would have.

4. It does not mark the SMS as read in the default app.

5. No delivery reports.

Thumbs up Awesome App

First and foremost thank you for your hard work on this. You have created what so many people have been wanting for such a long time. I think it is a great start for what could be one of the most popular BB apps of all time. That being said I know it is a beta and being so I am sure that you are looking for suggestions to improve this app.

1. Could it still show outgoing messages in the message folder and in the app

2. Mark the message read in the BB message folder when reading it in the app.

3.The option to press the trackball to send messages or use the enter button.

4. Delivery reports

5. show a indicator on the icon to show a new message received.

6. Show how many characters are in the message so users will know if they are sending more than one message like in the native BB SMS app.

Once again thank you. I know most of these suggestions have probably already been made, but it never hurts to reinforce what the users are asking for. Looking forward to seeing this app progress.

I will be adding custom notifications and instructions on how to disable the flashing light from the native SMS box. The only think I will not be able to control is the 'new' SMS message icon.

Working fine on my 8320 so far.

I'd like to see an option to copy the whole conversation so I cold paste it into a email or somewhere so I could archive it.

Thanks!

Default CDMA Support

For all you users on a CDMA network, I'm afraid I do not have good news. I confirmed that at the current time it is not possible to use this program for sending.

RIM has not implemented sending SMS through CDMA with 3rd party applications.

I do not have an ETA of when they might provide such a function.

So sorry.

Yeah, that was the only thing about it that really bothered me. It's kind of weird that outgoing messages don't hit the mailbox, and having its own alert profile & icon would r0x0rz, but I can live with all that.

But with a way to archive logs, it'd be ueber sweet.

Alert profile is in the works, and log archiving as well.

Have you updated the ota link for the newest beta? I just downloaded it and it seems to be the original and not the updated one

Thanks again for the app!
