Default Bluetooth GPS for BB & Google Maps?

has anyone paired their BT GPS w/the 8100 and used it for real time display of their location on google maps? is this even possible?

what make/model of BT GPS are you using?

Yes, lots of people do this.
The GlobalSat BT-359 works fine for me with Google Maps and other applications as well.

You should visit the GPS & Mapping forum area for more information.

awesome. may i go a step further and ask if there is any voice integration available either with google maps or a 3rd party app? like "turn left here", "turn around you went too far", etc.

...and while we're on the topic, my service provider (Rogers) wants to charge an extra $5/month for the GPS service on GPS compatible phones like the 8800. is this them monopolizing again? why couldn't the internal GPS work with Google maps right out of the box?

one more question, i promise;

is there a corded alternative to the BT GPS? that can use the unit's battery as oppose to it's own? and also may be less expensive...
