Default 7130 for Cingular?

Please Login to Remove!

I have heard on this forum that Cingular is to be getting the 7130. Does anyone have any idea when it is comming out? I got a 7100g a few days ago for my wife and I am not impressed. I can have it setting right next to my 8700c and have no signal on the 7100 with 2 bars of EDGE on the 8700. My wife likes the form factor of the 7100 better than the 8700, which was my reason for buying it, but the reception is not good at all. I am thinking about taking it back for the 8700, but if the 7130 is comming out soon maybe I will wait.

I think I have read another forum somewhere that said the opposite about the reception between the 7100 and 8700. He said he was in a basement at his work and the 7100 used to have a drop of reception but the 8700 was dead.

I kind of live on the edge of coverage no matter what the carrier. The 8700 definately does better though.

i agree. altho i have plenty of coverage where i live, my 8700 definitely handles the low-to-no coverage areas MUCH better.

Good to hear. I hope it applies the same for the 8700g.
