by business customers only, does that mean a corporate contract between your company and at&t, or do you just have to associate your company with the phone? i.e. use corporate discount for the phone coverage

sith apprentice, you seem to know a lot about blackberries and provide great feedback. im deciding between the pearl 2 and the curve for at&t. what are your thoughts between the two devices? I like the smaller size of the pearl 2. is the additional size of the curve worth the extra features?

well which curve? the curve 8310 has GPS, and the 8320 has wifi (but you can bluetooth a gps). the 8120 has wifi (again you can bluetooth a gps). the pricing on the curve 8310 is $100 on new contracts now, while its $200 (business customers) for the 8120

It just depends on what keyboard you prefer and the size of the screen. The Pearl 2 also has the media card access on the outside of the device.

...as well as the gps/wifi differences.

have you played with qwerty and suretype devices? keep in mind the OS enhancements on the 8120 as well. streaming audio/video from the net, WIFI, external media card, video camera etc. I have both and use the 8310 mostly (i use GPS nearly constantly) but have the WIFI for browsing, and when i put my Tmo Sim card in, UMA

that would not make sense. the consumer market loves the pearl. i think it would be a very bad move to keep it Business only, and we might see them change that stance in the future.

And since it was released for business customers last Thursday the ATT Website has been showing the 8100 out of stock.... I really do want to get this device and hope that I don't have to jump through a bunch of hoops to get it!
