You must have a BlackBerry Data Plan provisioned on your account. The Blackberry is different than other smartphones as it requires a specific plan for WiFi access.

Not sure what a "DS" is but I will try and explain.

To get different blackberry services(wifi, email, bbm,...) to work, you must have the proper "service books". If your carrier supports Blackberry, these "service books" will be provided by them when you subscribe to a blackberry data plan.

Devnull, NJ Blackberry,

Is there any option for this? I cannot use my wifi until i on my Mobile Network. Even when i on the mobile network and having wifi connected,
i am not sure which service is the phone actually using.

There is a symbol above the mobile coverage, which seems like it is using the mobile network service to connect to the internet when i started browsing. In this case, what is the meaning of connection to wifi service?

Thanks a lot and looking forward to your answer.

You must have a BlackBerry Data Plan on your account in order for your carrier to push down the Service Books to allow for WiFi. BlackBerrys are different than other devices. You must have the data plan first, then the WiFi will work.
