Default Adding 3rd BES to network

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I currently have two BES servers, running 5.0.2 in HA mode.

I want to do some proxy policy testing and I have a spare SRP key and a spare server.

Can I just install 5.0.2 with the spare SRP key on a new server and point it at the BESMgmt database, then move a user across to the new server and do the testing?

Regards

Ok thanks,

The install offers to install the Enterprise server and it has just checked the boxes for the attachment service and the MDS connection service, I assume I dont need the BAS or any of the other components installed on the new server?

No need to do that, It'll just be added as the "2nd" Enterprise Server and be available in the current BAS like your "1st" BES's are.

By 1st BESs, I mean your first pair as your current 2nd BES is a HA failover server.

If I point the new BES at the same BESMgmt database that the HA cluster uses will I be able to set different proxy settings on it, or will it just use the same as the current HA cluster?

No, you can use a different proxy server for each of your BES servers.

I have installed the new Blackberry server. How do I get it to show up on the BAS with the other BES servers?
