Default Removing IT Policy with broken USB?

Please Login to Remove!

Is there any way I can go about doing this? I believe the IT Policy is blocking bluetooth desktop connection.

If the usb port I'd broken, the only way is to assign it a different it pollicy. However, if the usb port is broken, the you can't charge it...? So you might as well but a new one!?

You could use a charging dock.

As far as removing the IT policy, yes it's possible. But there is much more to the answer. Is this device on a corporate BES account? If so, the IT policy is most likely there at the insistence of the IT department. Removing it is possible, but at the possible risk of your job. If the IT department put it there, and you remove it, it could be construed as tampering, violating policy, etc.

Before attempting to remove the IT policy, I'd STRONGLY suggest that you have a conversation with your IT department first. Explain the situation to them, and work out a solution together.

Well i charge it using a dock. As far as the job is concerned, I purchased this from a guy who used it as a work phone but no longer uses it as a work phone and never got the IT policy removed. So no worries about the job there.

How do i go about doing this?

I saw that but how can I connect my blackberry to the desktop?
The USB is broken and then I think bluetooth connection to desktop is disabled.

You're missing the point. The IT Policy cannot be removed by the user because the device's USB port is broken.

At this point, the only way to remove it is by having the BES admins do it.
It would be a two step process on the BES side.

1. Assign a new policy to the device which has 'Secure Wipe Reset to Factory Defaults = True.'
2. Send the 'Erase & Disable...' command to the device from BES.
