Default Full Network Activity for 5 hours

Please Login to Remove!

I just picked up my bb for the first time in about 5 hours. I noticed it had both activity arrows going nuts....i waited it out and they never went away. Also, my batter is almost dead; it was on a full charge!!! The network arrows have been on full blast for 5 hours. I know because I yanked the battery, and when it came back up I had a vm from 5 hours earlier when the phone never rang.

Anyone else ever see this? I'm going to check my data usage on Cingular now.

Please reply if you've seen this before.

Oddly enough, this happened to me today around 4:05 PT. I had to pull the battery as well to make it stop... weird.

That is strange. SOunds like a Cingular network problem. I got a call at 1607 and the caller could not hear me at all, but I could hear them....it was on full activity ever since.

Checked my data usage; hasn't posted yet.

I too had a strange occurence today where I was on a call and it suddenly went quiet but I was showing still being connected and could not disconnect. I took out the battery and rebooted and the problem was still there and finally on the second try it cleared up. Maybe Cingular is doing something with the network.

I'll check my data usage tomorrow to see what was going on. I'll post my findings.

I have not signed up for Push services (yet). And Barjohn's description is EXACTLY what happened to me - out of curiosity - what time was it yesterday?

Funny, this happened to me today as well, although I have no idea how long it was like that for (I turned the wireless service off and on to get rid of it). I'm a Rogers customer BT.
