Default Thank you BBForums

Please Login to Remove!

EDIT: I was trying to upgrade my OS to the new 4.5 and was an error in the middle of doing so. I have the BlackBerry 8310

I just want to say thank you very much. I did not see any other places or more relative areas to post this. I was getting a "JVM Error 513" on a white screen with a "Reset" option and when I was clicking reset it would go back to the same exact screen.

I contacted AT&T (my service provider), they couldn't help me so they sent me to BlackBerry Technical Support. BlackBerry Technical Support said they may or may not be able to help me but would need $49.99 before they do ANY troubleshooting and with no guarentees.

AT&T helped me file an insurance claim today (all that was happening yesterday) and am supposed to receive a new phone 2-3 days and also have to pay a $50 fee through insurance.

This link: blackberryfaq.com/index.php/What_to_do_next_if_Jl_Cmder_will_not_connect_and_w ipe]What to do next if Jl Cmder will not connect and wipe - BlackBerryFAQ
Fixed EVERYTHING and I am so thankful. Hopefully I will be able to reverse my insurance claim not have to pay the $50.

Thank you for all your help BBForums.

It's funny I was in the VZW store the other day and over heard someone asking a question about a BB and I had to politely interrupt because the sales guy was wrong.

Even RIM has issues with educating its employees. I sold phones for awhile and went to a kick off event that had people from all the different manufacturers there to talk about new and upcoming products. I asked the guy from RIM when they would include a camera on a BB and he talked down to me like I was stupid for even thinking that would ever be an option. This was only a year before the pearls came out too, if that. I wish I could go back to the guy from RIM and ask him the same question now.

Granted, but a lot of folks do not, and are shocked to learn that RIM won't speak to them without a credit card, or having been handed off from their carrier.
