Hi i have an old 9700 blackberry and i tried to connect with my home wifi. It connected shows the wifi icon but the internet does not works. It works with some wifi but not with mine at home. Does some one know the problem?

does it work anywhere? if so then your home router is either defective or you entered the codes wrong

the pass code is correct, it shows my wifi name and said conected but actually not. Thank you for your reply

Some carriers require a Blackberry data plan to allow the WIFI service book to load. Do you have one? Can you use the internet via the cell serivce?

It used to att but not anymore i unlocked it and i haven't gotten the data plan yet can i just use the wifi instead? That is my plan

You need to have an active BlackBerry Data Plan.

Some carriers block the WIFI without teh BB data plan so that may be the problem. You said wifi works sometimes. Not sure why if it wont work at home.
