Mmmmmm... That's interesting... I am a Bell Mobility User on a Corp BES... And I have the exact same problem... I can use Webmessenger for a full day and all of the sudden... Nothing... All connectivity is gone.. The only way to get out of this is to remove the battery.. Although I have tried all other IM software, Webmessenger the one I liked best. I actually stopped using Webmessenger until this problem is solve.

I emailed CS at WebMessenger and they claims that it is an MDS issue with Nextel. While I agree that I prefer the design and features of WM over all other IM apps currently on the market, I can't stand the crashing issue. It's near constant.

I think they have only one price, pricey, but one time. Also, check out the new beta from www.mantragroup.com. You can get it on the forums. For a first beta it looks very good.

Did you guys look at new Causerie Messenger? www.mantragroup.com - they are 1 in palm and now coming to bb.
I am beta testing it after seeing one of the posts on bbhub. It worked pretty good to me. No jabber setups etc. Lot better UI and stable till now.
Using 7100t.

If you have the link for it I would love to test it. IM+ made me some problems lately with loging in. and I need only a client which will allow me to connect to Jabber server.
Thanks,

Hmmmmm, I am still on the AT&T side and I just got a BB 7290. I have not had any luck getting any of the IM Clients to work. I have tried over and over and also called AT&T and they tell me they do not support it and won't help me with it. I have tried BerryVine, IM, and VeriChat and I am lost. Any suggestions to what I am doing wrong in getting them to connect?
Thank You,
Chris Luce

SchmutzBerry and fancyname : Thanks for suggestion, the Mantra IM it is what I was looking for! In my case, when I need to be connected to my jabber server w/o BES, it is the best so far solution. I hope it is not going to cost a fortune in the future Thanks again.

I don't know if I should start new thread or not so I will start here and if adm. decides it should be moved, please do so.
Above I wrote that Mantra's Causerie is so great but after one day of great work I cannot log in any more getting the message: "connection cannot be established with the server. ERROR: null"
I'm using T-Mobile 7230
Any suggestions?

Yes, write an email to the company informing them of the details of the problem. It is called a "beta" version for a reason. Reporting your errors to them will help them to fix the problems. After a few months of that, then the program may become stable. That is how VeriChat was developed as well. Read some of the older threads on VeriChat from November-January.

Thanks Eric. BTW VeriChat is not what I was looking for and the competitor IM+ is not working great either Many times it takes too long to log in and, what I like about Causerie, doesn't have "working in the background" function. However Causerie misses the sound notification.
Just noticed that my BBToday stoped displaying Weather: null error
Added:
Restart (unplugged batt) helped. Everything works fine.

I am starting to think that the connection problems that we have been blaming on Verichat, IM+, WebMessenger, and now, Causerie, are really not the problems of the IM client.
After trying all (except Causerie which wasn't out yet,) I bought a license for WebMessenger. I had trouble at times, connecting using all three. After using WebMessenger for about a month, I really like it. However, sometimes I have to make a half dozen attempts to make the initial connection.
Could the real problem be with the slow data connections that we GPRS users get?

3rd day of using Causerie and I must say besides the small problem when I couldn't connect because of my BB being "frozen" I really love it. Connects very fast, no problems with geting disconnect, works in the backgroung...again the ONLY but preety important I think thing is SOUND NOTIFICATION of incoming message which is "missing".

People! IM+ 2.2 is actually out for the BB! There's an option that you could just press insted of pressing at the same time which sucks!
