Default 8310 vs 8820 (att) help me make a decision

Please Login to Remove!

So i have the choice between these two phones. I am getting which ever one i want for free. I love the fact that the curve has a cam, but i also like the fact that the 8820 has wi-fi. If you were in my shoes, which phone would you honestly pick? thank for your opinions in advance

I would personally say The 8310 because:

#1 I need a camera. I am always in very memorable kodak moments, and always need a camera at hand.

#2 If you have a DATA plan, WI-FI is pretty much useless since you get almost the same speeds, but you almost ALWAYS have EDGE available. If you do not get the data plan, WI-FI is not supported because WI-FI only works with a DATA plan present.

Just my $0.02

Wirelessly posted (7130e: BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I would go for the curve for the same reasons stated above. I have the unlimited data plan and I haven't used wifi once.

Go for BlackBerry 8310, superb hand set with camera. You can use Edge for data transmission!

Default Two Thumbs Up for the Curve!

I am in total agreement with the statements above, but then I have the 8310 and am a bit partial in that respect. It's an excellent device, the form factor is perfect, I've had quite a few different smart phones before this, both larger and smaller ones and the curve is the perfect qwerty phone. The keyboard is the best QWERTY I have ever used and yet the phone is still small enough that it fits into jeans pockets very easily.

I must add though that I am not a business user, it's more like my hobby or rather my hobbit. And "Oh what a hobbit it is!" I also have never figured out what the point of Wifi is when you have a data plan. I had wifi on a couple WM phones and usually just opted for data usage. Just my 2 cents.

Two Thumbs Up for the Curve!
