I am trying to install some apps but this error comes up even though I am installing the right versions/apps, etc.

Any ideas?

huh? I have DM software installed if thats what you mean. I sync outlook and backup/restore fine - its just the App Loader not working to add programs.

not really - I did that - have the most current DM 4.2 installed on desktop but still get the same error.

Desktop Manager Software is separate from the Handheld OS Software. It's two separate installations. The desktop manager software you have is 4.2.2.14. That's fine. Now install the Handheld OS 4.2.2.170 software to your computer, as well.

John, thats what I did. I know there's two separate downloads. I did as described but same error.

Do you get the list of OS applications with checkboxes when you open application loader? Also, I've seen this error come up even though the app I'm trying to install added itself to the list anyway.

John, yes I do but from there when I try to "add" a file to install, thats when I get the error.

Are you browsing to folders that contain an .alx file and a .cod file for the application?

yes both files are present under the file folder

sorry guys - i fixed it - I installed the 8300 os instead of 8310ATT - got it! Thanks for all the help
