Default help with bis setup

Please Login to Remove!

i used to have a curve(8310) and i now i have the bold. i unlocked the 8310 and gave it to a friend. now the person has att, the phone was from att but now we cant get it to setup bis on the phone. when i go to try to set it up it goes to skip email setup and set up a work email account. is it because its unlocked i cant do it anymore or what help

you need to log onto the BIS site to set up the email.

from your post, it sounds like u are trying to set it up sing the desktop manager

there is an option to push the books.

but lets take care of something else first.

when u owned the device, was it on a BES for your work?

because the only reason why it would avoid a personal email setup from what i know is if it is still linked to the BES and the IT guy blocked access to personal accounts.


so, was the device ever used for a work BES?

what kind of account are you tyring to set up with your berry.

what is the domain? gmail, or yahoo or something like that?

when i do it from the site. it say books where sent. i dont se no error nowhere

Sounds like the BlackBerry Data Plan isn't properly set up on the device. A call to the carrier is in order.

that might be the case because there is no blackberry data plan for the phone line. but they o have unlimited text and internet
