You could wipe the phone which would remove all your personal data.

Go to Options, then Security options, then General options. Activate the menu and choose the option to wipe the device.

You can delete the Address by using the Desktop Manager, Backup/Restore section go into advanced and clear the Address book, but if you are out right getting rid of the phone I would just wipe it..

I also need to delete an address book that is duplicate, but on the BB Desktop Manager the address books are greyed out when I go to Backup/Restore.

Edit: Found the solution!:
I found a solution to remove my duplicates:
- Hit the Menu key and choose "Select Address Book"
- Pick the old one that is not being synced
- Again hit menu key and choose Options
- While in Address Book Options type in all capitals RSET
- This will give you the choice to delete the address book contents.

After doing this I still have 2 address books, but one is empty. So no more duplicates.

Thank you.
This trick was what I needed with my 9700.
The advantage is that no Desktop Manager is required.

I used this because I had been screwing around with GoogleSync and BIS-contacts-sync with 2 Gmail accounts, and ended with dupes.

With contacts and calendar syncing over the air, I have not found a need to install DM yet.
