Why don't you offer up the error or issue you are having. It works as normal, we can only guess at any error you are having.

Why not just use the BlackBerry Messenger that comes with phone?

My take is to just use OS 4.2 till Jivetalk comes out with a version compatible with the new handheld software code.

same here, only that its an IOException instead of NullPointer using TCP connection on my 8310... tested with 4.5.0.55, .52, .44, and 4.5.0.18 - now downgraded to 4.2.2.176 which is working fine

Seems like JiveTalk is not the only 3rd party app causing uncaught Java exceptions with 4.5

Install Documents to go and Jivetalk works.
Sounds strange, but it's true!

Update - working with 4.5.0.x on 8310 when downloaded and installed directly via the developer´s website (not via DTM or MDS) - uses TCP correctly
