Hi -- I installed OS 5.0 a few weeks back and have been getting errors when the device is booted-up (Errors with new OS 5 - BlackBerryForums.com : Your Number One BlackBerry Community)

That said, I am getting ready to sell my Storm and want to correct the problem (assuming I can) before hand.

I have done a security wipe and removed everything from the unit. But, I am still getting the errors.

How do I remove OS 5 and reinstall it?

I am on a MAC! Yes, I have BB DM for Mac (it was released in October) but I am not sure how remove and reinstall OSs.

Also, where do I even download the OS again. I tried the link found in the OS sticky on the Storm forum, but that only links to a PC (.exe) file. Where do I get the Mac files?

To my knowledge, you can't remove/reinstall an existing OS with Desktop Manager for Mac.
You can only upgrade to a newer version of the OS, if it's available.

The OS isn't downloaded/installed on the Mac the same way it's done on a PC. The Mac version downloads the proper OS version from RIM/carrier on the fly.

OK -- so if I wanted to then do this on a PC? I guess I could use my friend's PC. How would I go about it then?
