i have an 8310 through at and t and ive been using a beta os for quite some time.

i saw that they have a new update to the os from january so i downloaded desktop software 4.7 and the new os update (saw the link in anothe rthread) .

installed software and the update, deleted vendor.xml

open the software and it doesnt come up to install it.. what am i doing wrong?

You don't need DM to install your OS. If you follow the steps in the thread, it will tell you how to install without DM.
