Desktop Software Gone
Please Login to Remove!
OK, I am probably just an idiot, but I seem to have lost my Desktop Software, and I cannot get it back.
I downloaded the latest (.525) software from RIM (I believe this was the update to fix the daylight savings time bug).
I uninstalled my old software from Windows XP. Then reinstalled the new Desktop Manager and RIM software for the 7100i.
The problem: there is no icon for Desktop Manager like there used to be.
When I go to look for this software in XP, I cannot even find it. It is not on my list of programs accessed via the start button; when I manually look for it in my folders on my c drive it is nowhere to be found.
However, the software tells me it has completely installed. And when I go to "add/remove programs" in XP, the software is listed there as being installed ("Blackberry v. 4.1 for the 7100i Series Wireless Device").
I have now uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times with the same result.
At the risk of sounding like an idiot here, what have I done wrong? I have searched the forums for an answer but saw nothing, if this is covered elsewhere in another thread I apologize.
