Reset the device to factory settings. Don't install anythng for a while and see what happens. Make sure you have the latest OS as per your carrier. If you still have issues, call your carrier. It could be a device issue.

If the issues go away, re-install your software one at a time.

Because apps can't directly access hardware doesnt mean they can't crap all over each other.
This is the way to go. Process of elimination to determine the root cause of the issue.

And like CanuckBB said, shit happens.

You can't put Lunk in the normal category or MOSTLY normal category at all... ;)

so recently i upgraded my software to the latest 9000 available software, and i succesfully managed to f*k up my blackberry. my restoration process failed every time. it would say 'database error' or something to that effect. so i did the next best thing. jl_cmder, reloaded another OS and voila i have my bb fully functional again. just kept the apps to bare minimum.

shit does happen, maybe resetting your bb might do the trick. it doesn't hurt does it? i tried it and now i'm all good again!

Default two more years for blackberry

I myself buy phones every six months or so for kicks...so I use ALOT of different types of phones. The blackberry's OS IS getting a bit old.

I have friends at work with old 8700g's (which seem to work fine for them) and I tell them yeah...my blackberry just bricked from the latest app I tried to download (and the install failed and bricked it) or I do these 'battery pulls' every other day or it slows down alot (they never do battery pulls on the older phones)...AND the newer BB doesn't really browse or use the internet as well as the Android phones or the Iphone.

They look at me ('cause I have been telling them to upgrade to a 8900, 9000 or 9700) and they say, "WHY do you want us to upgrade again???"

All in all, I do love my bb! BUT the operating system has about two more years in it's life cycle. They really need to rewrite it from the bottom up.

AT the rate the phone market is changing...BB is getting behind. The have become little computers now and the BB OS is kinda 'sucky' .

SERIOUSLY, if your Desktop computer OS had to have its OS reloaded if you downloaded and installed a poorly written program? OR if you have to reboot it a couple times a day 'cause it got slow?? Would you say that computers OS was in need of some fixing?

I would.

BB is still king of texting and email (for now)...but they need to look to the future.

ps. AND YES, the recent (and frequent) outages should be embarrassing.
