Last week, i began receiving notifications everytime a friend updated their status, posted a picture, shared a link etc. . .but none of these notifications have anything to do with me. Is anyone else having this problem? I am getting no less than 10 notifcations every half an hour! PLEASE HELP!
You don't mention the app, and I don't use social stuff beyond twitter, but my first step if I was in your position would be to look in the options for the app (assuming this is an app you are talking about) and change the notifications to off where applicable.
If this isn't an app, then what? Are you getting the notifications via SMS, email, PIN, browser push......What? Depending what it is, you may need to go to the service you have the account with and turn of the notifications, unsubscribe, whatever.
If it isn't an app or an account with a service that you have control over, then you'll have to tell your "friends" to stop.
If you can't figure it out, post some details and maybe someone can tell you exactly what you need to do.
Yes, you may have to go to the settings of whatever social network is giving you too many notifications. Then, have them turned off, or unsubscribe to them as someone mentioned above.
