OS Installation Problemb - Error 1335

I was trying to install 4.5.0.131 to my PC last night and kept running into a 1335 error, which is apparently related to a corrupt cabinet file (data1.cab). If I click Ignore through the error, a 2350 error will generate for which I have to abort the installation.
Suspecting a bad OS download, I downloaded the OS file again twice but still had no success. The Microsoft technical bulletins related to the issue point to a dirty CD drive or corrupt Windows Installer. The installation file isnxxx8217;t on any portable media, so a dirty CD drive canxxx8217;t be the case. Ixxx8217;ve tried to reinstall Windows Installer but the above symptoms still occur.
Ixxx8217;ve installed OS packages to this computer without problems in the past. However, I just reimaged the laptop last week.
Does anyone have any possible ideas to pinpoint the problem and resolve it?
Thanks.
