Default Has BlackBerry corrected the on/off button height???

Please Login to Remove!

I stopped in a few stores and some units had the hard to access on/off button like I read about in some of the reviews. Then I stopped this evening at Best Buy and the demo unit they had a button that appeared higher and easier to access. Was this corrected or did I find an oddball?

Thanks.

Yes. This was corrected with OS 2.0 (lol, jk)

Really, yes it was. I have read in many places that they have added height to the button due to public dismay ...

I have one of each. One with the original style button which I bough on release day. My wife uses that one and likes to turn it off rather than put in into standby, so she uses the button all the time and doesn't have any issues with it. The one I was given at DevCon has the new style button. I use it but since I never turn mine off I rarely use the power button. I don't see what the issue is, but unless you get a used/refurbished unit it should have the new style button on it.

(Yet another one of my many PB issues) - if you use the abysmally designed PlayBook cover, it is impossible to push the power button without either lifting up and moving the cover out of the way or taking it off. And don't get me started about how to charge it with the cover on...

No issue, just asking the question...

It makes some people happier and isn't high enough that the PB turns on or off by accident, so I guess that means the new hight is the right one.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who absolutely thinks that the design was done very incorrectly. You have to have it open to charge it.

Actually that isn't a problem. I never use it, so I never have to charge it!

Don't use it. Need to rid yourself of that problem child. I would be glad to take it off your hands.
