Default Rim Outage

Please Login to Remove!

Just wanted to collaborate all the individual threads I see into one. It does indeed look like RIM is having issues at the moment. Cingular can not respond to use quicker than 1-2 days after we just got off the phone with them. People in India are having outages with "Data Connection Refused" Same here in Michigan.

Speak up if you are having the same issues. Wouldn't it seem right if RIM would respond here if there was a problem?

It is doubtful RIM will respond to you here.

There is no RIM outage. I am having perfect service on two carriers, with no interruptions at all, and Cingular is one of those.

ONE user report in India does not make it a collective "people". lol

What "all the individual threads" do you see?

Default Power Cycle Blackberry

Power Cycle your blackberry. Mine was working fine too until my co worker wanted me to be a guinea pig because of 4 others not working here. So I power cycled mine and now it's in "hell " mode also.

Mr. Alarmist, power-cycling your battery does not make a universal world-wide "RIM outage".

You (very likely) have a localized problem with your carrier(s) or something, but since you haven't given any details on the actual symptoms, there is no way to comment or suggest a remedy.

I confirmed with a contracting company of ours in Sacramento CA that they are having issues in that location. Another of our divisions in Michigan is also having issues.

So vague. What problems are y'all having?

I have received over 20 messages on both TMo and Cing BlackBerry services this morning. I just tested an email from Cing BB to TMo BB, and then a PIN message from the TMo BB to the Cing BB.

There is no outage. You have some isolated incident. I would advise you be on the phone with your carrier rather than yelling fire around here.

The sad fact is that the widely publicized outage a couple months back now means everyone who doesn't know better cries outage as soon as something goes wrong. It's sort of like CNN with terrorism: if anything bad happens the first thing they ask is "could it have been terrorism?" and then bring in a bunch of experts to discuss.

My advice is to stick to occam's razor and go with the simple solution

Default Email problems in UK

I'm on T-Mobile UK & my wife has o2 UK. We are both BIS users. I have received 1 email this morning on my BB - sent last night at 11:26pm and arriving on my BB at 8:51am. My wife hasn't received any emails on her device. We both have several emails on our Yahoo! and other email accounts that we have viewed online. I've tried resending service books .... no good. Any ideas??

Seems more like a carrier issue locally in the areas than it is a RIM issue or your BES server is crapping out. We have over 500 blackberries worldwide from T-Mobile, Verizon and Sprint and no reports of any problems.

Ditto--people TOO often confuse carrier issues and device issues with RIM issues.
