Now when I login via the new login screen it takes me to the old interface. When i click "refresh" I get the following message:

"Your account creation is in progress.
When the creation of your account is complete, this page refreshes automatically.
If this page does not refresh within the next 10 seconds,

"Clicking here" does nothing.

Anyone else seeing this?

It seems a little faster than 10-15 minutes, but it isn't like sending it to your vzw.blackberry.net address.

As for deleting on remote mail server, so far:

Gmail: No

POP account with a local ISP: Yes

Thanks.

Sorry for all the questions, but I want to know all I can before upgrading the BIS interface. My business depends on a correctly-working blackberry.

Anyone try the new BIS on an IMAP account?

On the send screen, you now have a "Send Using" field. Click on that to change the email address you're using.

Or, send mail using the new icon for your new account. It will use the settings you defined in BIS.

Cingular has NOT yet implemented the new BlackBerry BIS.... It's been rumored for months (since T-Mobile did theirs).

Now word on when it will happen.............

Yep, me too. Earlier when I logged in it asked about the upgrade. Not any more, even from the email settings icon on the BB. Guess Verizon stopped it until they announce.

Well just as well I am not sure I am going to like the change specially in light of all the problems T-Mo hd when they did theirs.

Maybe, but eventually it will be the default. So better to understand it now rather than later. I think I'm gonna call Verizon data support to see what's up with this.

Default Latest from VZW

Called data tech support and got the 1st BIS 2.0 ticket!!

In any case, RIM informed Verizon that until Monday (launch day) the new interface will only be offered if you answered Yes to the update question. After the official launch you will be prompted each time you login until you update. BIS 2.0 will become the default going forward. Sooner or later you will need to do the update.

Thanks I figured as much and I guess in the long run I knew it was coming, I am just not one that likes change well but what are you going to do, I guess for me the answer will be not to log in to the BWC until a month or so down the road so that they have worked out all the kinks out of it. I remember that when T-Mo made the change it was weeks of anguish for many until everything was cleaned up, and then things finally fell into place. And again I realize this is not unusual with any type of change.

Over the weekend I went to my VZB BIS login and did not upgrade to the new BIS, but from what I understand, it is supposed to be available today; however, when I surf to the login screen and login it takes me to the old interface. How can I get the upgrade? Do I need to wait awhile?

You dont even have to upgrade right away, it will eventually force you to do so, if I were you I would wait till you are forced let them iron out the kinks first.

I notice that some folks say that they have new icons on their screen for each of their email accounts. My 7250 doesn't have that. Does this only happen on the 7130 models using 4.1? When I click on the Send From field, my screen freezes up.

whsbuss kinda beat me to the punch here. There are essentially two indentical discussions going on at the same time. The other thread may have more answers for you.

An update posted on the other thread here on the forums indicates that for existing customers, if you did not upgrade over the weekend, you'll have to wait until April 17 to get that option again. The new system is available for all new customers beginning today. A couple of users have reported that they have successfully had VZW delete their existing BIS account so they could create an account on the new system.
