BIS and redirector on 7520 are coming in on time (depending on whether I am using the phone as you can't get emails while on the phone).

I was having 15 minute delays but I think it was our BES.

im using the bis, but its since been fixed, maybe it all depends on location, maybe being out of my home market 99 percent of the time messes with delivery time, one thing i cant stand is when i email another nextel phone @messaging.nextel.net(or com or whatever) it takes a little while to get there.

For the last month my BES has lagged 15-20 minutes but only during work hours. I cannot determine if the bottleneck is RIM or Mailstreet (who is hosting my BES / Exchange).

When it happens next time, send PIN message to yourself. If it is severely delayed, the bottleneck is RIM. If not- the bottleneck is BES.

I can send an e-mail out from my 7520 handheld to my own pop3 (home desktop) account and it arrives almost instantly, but if I turn around and send a test e-mail from my desktop to my nextel Blackberry address, it seems to not go thru. I performed the pin message test as above (From myself to myself) and that went thru instantly. Still searching for a fix.....
(EDITED) Is there anything I can do to force my handheld to go and look for incoming mail? I use the Blackberry Internet E-mail Service, NOT the Enterprise service.
(EDITED AGAIN) I just went and sent myself a text message from the Nextel website, went through in about 5 seconds.

I just spoke to Nextel Blackberry support, and they said they are having issues with the BIS servers. They are working on them.

Wirelessly posted (BB 7520: BlackBerry7100i/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/103)

I had issues about a week ago with my 3Rd party apps, it took NEXTEL about 2 days to get their problems worked out. I'm using bis. I've never had email issues.
