Default hey guys new to the forum - micro sd question

Please Login to Remove!

hey guys, just got a new curve today and i wanted to put my microsd card my phone but it seems it doesn't fit properly with the sliding door.

i don't really want to pressure the door too much to close it, but when the card is in the door doesn't want to shut.

i did a search and didn't see anything. has anyone else had an issue like this?

Looking at my 8310 now (is that what you have?), the card goes in face-up, contacts down in the holder to the right of the SIM (when looking at the back of the phone with the Phone sticker in the battery bay facing you so you can read it). Note that the memory card needs to go into the tabs on either side of the holder, which swings down and locks when you slide it towards you.

when you open the door is the 3rd pin from the left not in exactly perfect order with the rest of them?

Wirelessly posted

Push the card and the holder down as you slide the holder into the locked position. Took me a few times to get used to it.

i tried to do it like that but it's not working very well. can anyone confirm what their conductor pins look like when you open the door?

are all of the spheres on the tips in perfect alignment?

Yes, all pins on the mobo line up with the mem card. Are you sure the mem card is in the slots on either side of the door? Can you close the door without the memory card in it?

What mem card do you have?

Your setup should look like this:

Check out:

How to install the memory card in your 8310
(Note the last section of the doco!)

yes the door shuts without the memory card

okay here it is
http://crackberry.com/files/u3/black...re6/curve8.jpg

that picture there, where the 3rd pin from the bottom is a little bit off from it being perfectly aligned with the rest of them.....that's what i thought was the problem but it turns out you need to swing the card with the door at the same time in order for it to shut. not sure why but that's how it is and i don't care how it got in anymore, it's in thankfully

OK, there are slots on the side of the door in which the mem card slides into. Then the whole assembly closes as one piece- I think that was your issue.
