on the telenav web site it says that the service requires a data plan.....i have unlimited blackberry from tmo, would that qualify as a data plan ?
or are we talking additional activation on my services (for example, using my phone as a modem to acess the internet on my pc) ?

By the way TN is appreciative to the community for letting them know of the issue so they could resolve it more quickly.

Downloaded a new copy around 11pm last night, and all is well now. I love the traffic re-route feature...saved me alot of time this morning.

Anyone use the new moving 3d or 2d maps yet. Seems like it updates very slow.

I used 3-D all the way to work today (35 mile commute). Maps updated pretty swift for me.

Alternative fix for exisitng Tmobile users:

Here is how to get TeleNav to replace the template without removing and reinstalling the application

a) Launch TeleNav, and select the Directory

b) Enter HYATT in the top row of the form, and then select "Search Within Category". For a category, select "Hotels and Motels".

c) For the search reference point, use the "Airport" option, and use SEA or ATL as the airport code where you want to search.

d) Submit the search…

e) During the BlackBerry’s interaction with the TeleNav servers, the servers will recognize that the template on the device needs to be replaced, and will update it.

I am wondering that myself. Seems a bit slower but have not tested in the car yet. Wondering if its just the app settling into its new home.

BTW I am referring to the Maps 3d views from the maps and traffic page not the directions views. I have not tried directions yet.

Default Thanks for helping to get this fixed

Thanks guys for helping push Telenav to fix the problem. I spoke with tech support yesterday and they said there was nothing they could do for me, and suggested I reinstall the latest firmware. Thanks again.

I'm a first time user of TeleNav and decided to give it a test run on the way home today.

First thing I noticed was that it seemed a bit sluggish. It also does not seem to have a good current map database. I can understand it not having some of the brand new roads in my area, but some have been here for well over a year and it still did not have them.

Now, once it did start routing me home, I was impressed. It would constantly reroute me when I was deliberating taking wrong turns and even more impressive, was the voice directions were coming through on my bluetooth headset!

I still have some more playing to do with it, but so far it's not bad.

Not sure, I didn't enable any special setting. I simply had my Jabra headset on when I started TeleNav and it automatically came through.
