I have my tmobile sim card put into the phone, everything works fine but it says "activation required" at the top of the screen where it should say t-mobile, is there a way to fix this?

Do you have a Blackberry data plan?

Try typing

##000000 and press the green (send) button

And see if it will get you into a menu where you can program in your SIM card phone number.

Who is the original vendor of the 9650?

I have the same problem with Sprint, is there a different code that will work? I get a message back saying invalid password. I'm trying to activate on Rogers up here in the great white north.

Apparently we need an MSL code, if we can get one of those you then go to the phone home screen type ##MSLCODE (6 digits code) and hit send (green button) then we can go in and fix our phone number and it will remove the Activation Required.

Contact the good people at Cellunlock.net and they will get you an MSL code you need for $10 in order to get the "activation required" off your phone

Hi there!

My apologies if i had this posted on another thread but would like to ask since my friend and I are trying to figure out how to remove it since we got the unit unlocked from sprint and currently using a Non-USA GSM Card (in the Philippines). We have tried using the ## options but unfortunately to no avail.

Your two cents would be very helpful! =)
