This is starting to drive me crazy, and running off only three hours of sleep isn't helping.

There's some suspicion that WeatherBug won't run on the Storm without BBMaps installed, so I'm trying to reinstall it.

Unfortunately, when I go to blackberry.com/maps and try to download it, I'm given an error. "Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support BlackBerry Maps."

I then booted up my PC and tried with Internet Explorer, but that's giving me an error too. "Downloads via a USB connection are not enabled for this product. Please visit our mobile download site using the browser on your BlackBerry smartphone."

I double checked the link given, and it's the same URL I had already used to try and download BBMaps OTA.

Any ideas?

Hmm, not sure about OTA, but if you have the OS on your PC, is it showing under app loader in DM?

Nope. Only the currently installed apps are listed under the add/remove applications section. What bugs me the most about this is the fact that I uninstalled and then reinstalled BBMaps over the air not that long ago with no problems.

I am very confident, that download of BB-Maps OTA or Via browser are impossible if your Device Software is equal or higher then 4.5 ( dont know about 4.7, but 4.5 and 4.6 wont work in my case)

If you cant get BB-Maps installed using the App-Loader, then, it is impossible.

But like I had said, I had uninstalled and then reinstalled BBMaps not that long ago with no problem. I was using either 4.7.0.99 or .75 at the time. Right now, I've been thinking about switching back from .109 to .99, so maybe there's a possibility that will fix the problem. Let me try that...

During the downgrade process, I was able to reinstall BBMaps. Now WeatherBug works.

Good find. Odd that you need BBMaps in order for WeatherBug to work. Good to know and thanks for confirming.
