That was not really what I was saying. I have participated in some projects at rim and I have noticed that the company especially different groups / projects are so split it is like different companies.

I have an active nda with Rim, which means I have worked with them in the past. What I was asking is if there is a team head or someone I may email or contact to get onto the beta.

There are a few people from this thread who would know of such a person, I was asking for a little help.

thanks

Actually, I don't think anyone here knows of such a person. At least, not that I'm aware of. I know I don't have that kind of connection.

I've spoken to and have the contact info for the PMs in charge of BES, device software, devices, various enterprise software offerings, etc. I have an NDA with RIM (although nothing I ever share on here or on BGR is obtained through said NDA - I also have other channels for my information, typically before RIM even shares it with me). I'm not on any beta programs.

Device beta software is rarely given to external customers, large/powerful company or not - only selected QA carrier personnel and selected internal RIM employees/departments. When leaks do occur, it's after the OS has been semi-tested internally at RIM and pushed on to carriers for early testing/QA phases (where OS 4.3.1 is currently). I would venture to say that 90% of all RIM-related leaks, be it device previews or software previews, do not come from Waterloo.

LOL! You actually know at least 3 people, possibly 4, who have NDAs with RIM

So your saying that all this news of os 4.3.1 on the 8xxx devices are actual leaks and not people who are actually testing the os for rim?

It is the strangest thing, I have worked on projects in the past, and to me there was basically zero communication, no feedback really needed, felt very disorganized. And now that bes 4.1.5 is being delayed I am not surprised.

So if it is a leak, then it should be on the web somewhere? I am not saying to post the link here, but if someone could pm a link I would appreciate it.

thanks

Correct. If they posted any information, they or their company would be pursued by RIM for breach of NDA.

You can download and save Word docs from email. You can view PDF files from the browser.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8120/4.3.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/125)

there are a number of people on here that know a lot more than they say but will not say anything to jeopardise their relationship with RIM, myself included. In my experience those who talk about what they know, in fact know very little.

As for 4.3 most of the benefits are to be had with BES 4.1.5, the changes in inbox and calander styling is pretty but not very useful!

I don't understand why this one is being overlooked by so many folks who just keep arguing "Does it do video?" I don't necesarily need th editing (although it is handy) but Docs to Go on my former POS and WM devices was far better at rendering teh docs for viewing than any other solution. Plus, saving the docs to microSD will be a godsend.

Now, if only they'd birth that puppy...

I second that.
I wish it would come to fruition quickly.

Cameras fine on my 8120, my biggest problem is that when sending an email it takes 30-45 seconds to send it.
