Default Verizon Operating System Updates

Why is it that Verizon seems to be behind the other major US carriers with their operating system updates?

Anyone know if the curve will ever make it to 4.6 or 5.0 in the future?

What other US carrier's are you comparing VZW to Sprint?

There is only a handful of CDMA carriers in the US...

Plus we can always install un-official version... so it don't really mean much when VZW says "Ok" to it.

It doesn't fit with their 'security profile'. They want to see what their profit margins will be first ...

Wirelessly posted (Blackberry Curve 4.6.0.62)

Why are you waiting on them for updates? They are available now.

Hopefully we will go to 5.0.....

in about 6 months :(

I'd venture say RIM will be focusing on the newer BB's before they start deveolping 5.0 for the 81xx, 83xx, 8xx... and the poor 88xx might see 5.0 for about a year lol.
