OK so I downloaded the patch for the Blackberry and installed on mine as a test. Rebooted BB. Still have the same problem. Anything scheduled during the original DST time frame (prior to 2007 change) changes to 1 hour ahead in Outlook. If I skip forward to May or June it sync's up correctly with Outlook.

So what next?

This stuff is all messed up lol. So I went back over the steps and for some reason when I clicked on the users in Active Directory, there was no longer BESAdmin listed with the permision SendAs.

I readded that user, and restarted every service for BES. Pulled the battery on my phone and waiting.

What the hell is going on =/

DAMMIT SAME PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!

Any ideas guys?

Updated my phone using hte online aplet, I see 2007 DST Patch listed. Same problem. Added appointments for a few days of this month, all are showing up 1 hour later in Outlook.

Also a few posts up I posted:
BES Server:
cdo.dll - 6.5.7638.2
mapi32.dll - 6.5.7638.1

Exchange Server:
cdo.dll - 6.5.7651.61
mapi32.dll - 6.5.7638.1

Is this a problem that they are not identical? What do I do for that? I have run all the updates mentioned in the DST Article and no bueno.

Any more ideas guys/gals?

I don't have an answer, but I just wanted to add that I'm having the same issue. I'm a consultant who has four clients with BES, they had their DST updates last year at the workstations, servers, Exchange, Blackberrys.. hell even their toilet paper got the DST update. Still, their appoints are 1 hour ahead in Outlook if they are entered on the BB.

I'm thinkin' the same as others - the DST update from last year is messing us up this year. Hopefully BB gets this worked out SOON.

I submitted my registration for the free tech support for BES Express, just gotta wait till I get an email back. Pretty annoying problem. I am sure its a simple setting somewhere cause all the computers running Outlook with Exchange didn't have problems in Outlook just on the Blackberry itself.

I am hoping some more of the users here can chime in. I still don't know if my problem is related to different values of the mapi or cod file, or if it is something totally out there. I just hope I can get that email so I can contact RIM for support. Does anyone know the contact number for the BES Express Free Tech Support?

Very first thing RIM techs will prob ask you is for your versions of cdo.dll on both servers. Once they see that the bes is below 6.5.7651.61, they will tell you to fix it.

Learned that the hard way once.

Okay I am running this update on the BES Server, thought I had run it on both, but maybe only ran it on the Exchange box, but I am updating it now, I will keep you posted.

Now both servers have same:
Bes Server
6.5.7651.61 cod.dll
6.5.7638.1 mapi32.dll

I am restarting the server so I will keep you all posted.

It seems to be fixed. Having other Blackberry user run some tests.

Wish I ran the update on both servers sooner, forgot to run it on the BES.

Chel_in_IL -
Check the Version of the mapi32.dll and cod.dll which are in c:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\bin
Just right click on go to properties and click on version tab.
You want both servers to be:
6.5.7651.61 cod.dll
6.5.7638.1 mapi32.dll

If they are not run all the updates for the servers. I ran Windows Update first and made sure everything was up to date on that (SP2 on Exchange, etc). Then run Update for daylight saving time changes in 2007 for Exchange 2003 Service Pack 2 that update on both servers (BES, Exchange) Direct link to update is Download details: Update for daylight saving time changes in 2007 for Exchange 2003 Service Pack 2 (KB 926666)

During one of the updates I lost the BESAdmin Send As permision and had to stop the Blackberry Router Service, and do the
dsacls "cn=adminsdholder,cn=system,dc=domainname,dc=c om " /G "DOMAINNAME\BESadmin:CA;Send As" fix.

Will confirm after 2nd user updates me, but looks good.

Hi Marley,
So far two of my clients are having this issue. One has a SBS 2003 server with BES on an separate 2003 server, and the other has BES on the same server as SBS 2003. I'm checking with other clients to see if they are having issues, but have not heard back yet. Both of these clients were updated with all of the DST updates (I verified the applicable SP#'s existed in the Add/Remove). Did yours have these patches already?

Michelle -

This server setup (all Windows 2003) was setup this year. All computers were up to date with any Windows Update from about 30 days ago (service packs for windows and exchange). Only update that seem to make the difference was the one I posted in the link. That brought the mapi and cdd.dll files to the newest versions. That fixed it.

You could try removing the previous DST patches and installing the new one, maybe its a conflicting patch. Good Luck. Keep me posted.

Default Quick Explaination

Hi
Running the OS DST patch isnt enughf.
the cdo.dll has ist own time zone table nit related to the oS and this is the dll that sync the BB and Exchange therfore you have to update both Exchange and BES with the newest cdo.dll

Ok, I had the onsite tech at one of my clients check the file versions. Here's what we have:

Blackberry Server
cdo.dll 6.5.6944.0 (programs/exchange/bin folder)
cdo.dll 6.5.7651 ( cdomapi folder)
mapi32.dll 6.5.6944.0 (exchange/bin folder) (system32 folder)

Exchange server
cdo.dll 6.5.7651
mapi32.dll 6.5.7638

I aksed him to replace the older cdo.dll and mapi32.dll on the Blackberry server with the newer versions (6.5.76xx). I'll let everyone know if it worked.

Thanks for this thread -- had the same problem with my own BES and a number of client's servers as well. The guys who patch our servers missed the Exchange 2003 SP2 and post-SP2 DST hotfix on all our BES, so the cdo.dll file didn't match anywhere.

As soon as I installed SP2 and the one patch, everything works.

The cdo.dll and mapi32.dll replacement did the trick.
