Help with BB Applications

Hello Friends!
I have downloaded some applications on my BB 8120 pearl using OperaMini and my wi-fi connection. There are two main problems:
1. If Firewall is enabled, it cannot download and save applications.
2. If Firewall is disabled, it downloads and installs applications but I am unable to open the applications. May it be a game, dictionary or any other software. It gives same error saying that application was unable to access.

Interesting... I didn't know it was possible to install apps with OperaMini.

Which version of Opera Mini? I've always used OM4.2 and have never been able to install apps OTA using wifi and OM. Whenever I got to an app, it would always open up BB browser for the download and install.

I'm pretty sure that you can't install BlackBerry apps with Opera Mini. Are you sure that you aren't just downloading it somewhere?

I am very much sure......because, when it starts downloading, BB Installer activates and installs applications. I can see applications in list as well as check their properties and permissions.

Huh interesting...but getting back to your original question. If you have wifi access why not just use the BB browser to download and install the apps?
