After a couple hours of support calls today, the fix they tell me is a master reset.

Kinda like reboot and call me back if you ask me. I'll try when I'm at home after a backup.

Is that like a wipe handheld? If so, I have tried to same, to no avail.

I am in North Carolina and my phone drops EVERY call when going from UMA to edge. This includes my router at home or a few tmo hotspots at different starbucks.

This is super annoying. Especially at home where I might walk into a dead spot while talking on the phone and lose my connection.

Anyone found a solution for this? None of the suggestions above have worked for me.

It's really frustrating to have waited for this feature, paid the upgrade price, and to find out that every time I leave my apartment, I drop the call when it goes to hand off to the EDGE network. I tried a master wipe to no avail. Starting to get really aggravated.

I am in the Denver area and my curve drops calls when transferring from UMA to Edge 100% of the time. The Edge to UMA transition is seamless and works everytime.

I live in Texas and drop almost all my calls going from UMA to edge.

Yes, you will drop your calls every time in North Carolina. As Dave suggested above, that is a SunCom/AT&T roaming area for TMobile and handoffs won't work from one carrier (TMobile UMA) to another carrier (AT&T or SunCom)

I also find that when on UMA there my phone will cycle back and forth from UMA to AT&T/SunCom unless I turn off the mobile network. It's just a limitation of the system.

Did Tmo announce a timeframe to integrate SunCom into their network so I am no longer roaming on SunCom and can use the UMA->EDGE handoff?

Not sure on the time frame. The downside is that once SunCom becomes TMobile you probably won't be able to roam on AT&T anymore. Not sure how SunCom's coverage compares to AT&T but it will likely be some loss in coverage.

I live in Miami, FL and I drop 100% of my calls when handing off from UMA to EDGE. It is really frustrating. Still love my Curve, though. Just wish this feature worked better. I've gotten to the point of turning UMA off when I know I have to move about.
