Virtually identical, but the 7100t is slightly bigger due to that stupid bit on the bottom of it, anyway clunkiness is more an opinion of the design than just the dimensions.

The design of the 7100v looked better in the prototypes and still looks better in the finihed products I would say, to say nothing of the keys feeling a lot nicer as well, europe has definitely got the nicer flavour of 7100 i'd say.

Just goes to show how there's no arguing taste. I think the 7100v looks awful and clunky, and the 7100t looks cool and sleek.

I can see why people can prefer the 7100t, even if i don't, but I'd be interested to know what is so awful and clunky about the 7100v and cool and sleek about the 7100t.

Personally, I'd say that the 7100v is simply more understated and professional looking than the 7100t.

You have the better functional design with better spaced out keys, larger sized red/green buttons, whereas, the 7100t is the flashier one with its pointless extras like the loop thing at the bottom and that metal bit over the earpiece

And I would say just open your eyes and look at it them. See? There's no arguing taste. You see one thing, I see something completely different. 911 turbo! oh sorry, off topic. I don't like either of them myself *shrugs* I like the old style of the bb, the current ones. If i wanted a phone based pda device, I'd buy the MPx220, or even a symbian phone. Just my opinion ;)

Nobody was trying to argue taste, I was simply trying to understand your preference, which people can easily do even if they don't happen to agree with it providing the person can explain their preference beyond throwing out such non-specific criticisms such as clunky and awful.

Clunky adj clumsy in form

Awful adj exceptionally bad or displeasing

I think the boxier, ungraceful shape of the 7100v, combined with its Speak-n-Spell looking keyboard, are clumsy, and exceptionally bad and displeasing. Ergo clunky and awful.

And besides, degree of specificity has precisely zero to do with whether or not the preference is a matter of taste, and either way requires neither justification nor explanation.

Only 3 more days until the 7100t is launched!

I just stopped by my Tmo store to see if it might be available and they had a non-functioning demo unit available. It was AWESOME. I was shocked at how nice the form function was.

It wasn't working so the only thing I really can talk about is the size.

It is SMALL, real small! It is no wider than a credit card is (assuming you hold it up vertically) and is about the same length as the 7230.

Quite ironically, the 7100t keyboard seems to be the more clumsy one due to the lack of key spacing and spongier keys and those needlessly small red/green buttons.

The 7100t has some good points such as the curve of the keys and a decent-sized space bar, but that doesn't overcome the useage of the rest of the keys.

Having held a non-functioning 7100t in my hands today I'd have to wholeheartedly disagree. The keys are *more* than sufficiently large enough that there is absolutely positively no reason to space them out - doing so would simply make the keys smaller and thus more difficult to press.

If your thumbs can't press the correct key on the 7100t 99% of the time then I'd suggest a diet.

I would have to agree with the last poster. I too held it in my hands and now can't wait to see it live.

T-Mobile opens in Chicago on Thursday at 10am. So that means we have about 59 hours to go until I own the 7100t.

I just talk to 2 stores in Houston, Tx and they said they received an email today that said stores should NOT expect to see the phones before Oct. 15th. But they will be available online on Sept. 30th.

This is so sad, but I guess I'll order online Thursday.
