I have a Bold 9000 that is running Core Apps, System Software etc. all showing as version 5.0

After about 30 seconds, the keyboard locks and I have to press the mute button to access it. I don't have a password set in the phone at all.

I have gone to PASSWORD and changed the SECURITY TIMEOUT to 1 hour but it makes no difference. Does anyone have any tips on how to deactivate this function or modify it to set a much longer time period before it activates?

Any input will be appreciated.

I think I figured out that the left side button is very sensitive and is locking it as soon as I pick up the phone. I just deactivated the button.

Thanks for posting the follow up. I was thinking the other possibility is faulty or damaged button. Hope it is just accidental.
